Message from the Director of Schools
The Clay County School System offers educational services to students from age four through adult education. As we work together as a community to develop quality programs at each level, we fully recognize the importance that today's global society places on a superior education for the workforce. Our children will face a new world where their competition for jobs is not the neighbor across the street, not even a neighbor in a nearby town. Our competitors are now on the other side of the world, well educated, with a high level of technical training. We can and we must build programs that are world class or we will be left behind. Our teachers must be the best we can find, our parents must work very hard to support those teachers, our students must work harder than any generation before them to stay ahead of students in far away lands, who are making educational gains on us, as they study very hard with the goal of leading the new world economy.
